Project Description
Hunter Animal Rescue approached Hyperweb earlier in the year requesting a redesign and development of their online pet pawtal, focusing on both front and back end. As pet lovers ourselves we jumped at the opportunity and said YES!
The brief was to increase the aesthetic appeal of the website, make it user friendly for interested adopters and carer/care-co-ordinators alike, and to display animals in need of rescue in a visually appealing and stat-packed layout. As a non-for-profit organisation we were also to highlight the path to donations with direct calls to action and easy payment gateways integrated.
We were given the go-ahead to make a fun and quirky website design, with the starting colour palette of a deep eggplant purple of their new logo. We complimented this with a brighter magenta purple, teal and cream. Throughout the site we also used a variety of block row layouts to ensure all relevant information was included in a simple and easy to fold in and out format.
From the backend point of view we created a new pawtal in which care co-ordinators can submit new listings available to carers, with instant email notifications. Similarly Carers are then able to create new adoption listings instantly available to the public on the Adopt a Cat/Adopt a Dog pages. Interest in adoption queries then go straight to the carer of the pet listed.
Seamless, effortless and easy to use. We think we’ve done a fantastic job at tidying up the website for all users and we’re very proud of working with Hunter Animal Rescue, a passionate local volunteer organisation.
