Severe Asthma Toolkit

Project Description

In 2016 HyperWeb undertook the website design and development for The Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma; researchers who strive to develop innovative approaches to understand why severe asthma occurs, developing tools and programmes to improve disease management and improving access to new therapies.

Mid 2017 we were again approached by the HMRI/University of Newcastle team to develop an online resource for practitioners in Severe Asthma. The end result of significant content research and development on the part of the The Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma, the toolkit is a “comprehensive and independent online resource”, that gives clinicians the “latest treatment information to optimise care for patients with severe asthma.” 1

The design was to collaborate with the current brand styling, with a slight shift in focus for colours, new navigation style and logo motif. The layout and navigation was to promote a seamless flow throughout the toolkit as the user learns, along with multiple ways in which content can be sourced.

While the text content was provided, we we engaged to create visual graphs and graphics to enhance the data provided and create an interactive approach to the clinicians learning. We engaged an illustrator to create some dedicated male and female avatars for future animations and illustrations.
