Aura Windows & Doors had a single-page website and near-zero visibility in search engines. Today they hold top 10 Google rankings across competitive Newcastle and Hunter Valley keywords, and enquiries are growing month on month. Here is how we got there.
Client Overview
Aura Windows & Doors is a Newcastle-based aluminium windows and doors supplier serving the Hunter Valley region, including Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Singleton, Port Stephens, and the Central Coast. With a showroom in Mayfield West and a strong association with the trusted Bradnam’s Windows and Doors manufacturing brand, Aura has the craftsmanship, product range, and expertise to serve residential clients, builders, and designers. Their digital presence, however, told a very different story.
The Challenge
When Aura Windows & Doors first approached HyperWeb, they were essentially invisible online. Despite offering premium aluminium windows and doors and a quality showroom experience, their digital footprint was severely limited:
- A single-page website with no product depth, no service pages, and no real path to conversion
- Every target keyword ranked outside the top 20, most beyond page two of Google
- No ability to compete with established competitors across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley
- No content strategy to target the residential, builder, or designer audiences they serve
Aura originally came to us for SEO services. It quickly became clear, however, that no amount of search engine optimisation could unlock meaningful results without first addressing the root problem. The website itself was not fit for purpose, and substantial redevelopment was required before SEO could truly take hold.
Our Approach
Phase 1: Immediate SEO Optimisation (While Development Was Underway)
Rather than waiting for the new website to be built, HyperWeb took a proactive approach and began optimising the existing one-page site as thoroughly as possible from day one. This included:
- Technical on-page optimisation of the existing site structure
- Keyword research and targeting to establish early ranking foundations
- Local SEO groundwork for Newcastle and surrounding regions
- Google Ads campaign management to drive immediate qualified traffic
Even on a one-page website, this early work began producing measurable ranking improvements. It was a strong signal of what was possible once a proper platform was in place.
Phase 2: Full Website Redevelopment
The centrepiece of the project was a complete website rebuild, designed to elevate Aura’s online presence across every dimension. HyperWeb partnered with Raz from Ronnoco for the creative design work, delivering a visually compelling and premium aesthetic that reflects the quality of Aura’s products and craftsmanship.
The redevelopment was guided by a clear set of project objectives:
Premium Brand Identity
Design a website reflecting Aura’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and sophisticated design, positioning them as the top choice for discerning homeowners across the region.
Product Showcase
A comprehensive showcase of Aura’s diverse aluminium window and door range, highlighting both standard products and bespoke design capabilities.
Target Market Segmentation
Content and messaging tailored to appeal to residential clients, builders, and designers, with specific value propositions relevant to each audience.
Showroom Promotion
Strong calls-to-action and a streamlined appointment booking experience to drive visits to the Mayfield West showroom.
Brand Credibility
Clear reference to Aura’s association with Bradnam’s Windows and Doors to build trust and reinforce quality manufacturing standards.
Lead Generation
Optimised conversion paths through clear CTAs, easy contact forms, and a streamlined enquiry process.
Search Engine Optimisation
On-page optimisation, location-based content, technical SEO, and structured data markup to increase visibility for relevant local searches.
Phase 3: Location-Based SEO Strategy
A key pillar of the SEO strategy was developing dedicated landing pages for each of Aura’s target geographic markets: Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Singleton, Port Stephens, and the Central Coast. Each page was crafted with location-specific content that naturally incorporated geographic references and locally relevant messaging, supported by JSON-LD schema markup and a strategic internal linking architecture.
The Results
The impact of the new website going live has been dramatic. When we began tracking in June 2025, every single target keyword sat outside the top 20 results. The transformation since then has been exceptional, with Aura now ranking on page one for a broad range of high-intent local search terms and website traffic growing strongly across every key metric.
Website Traffic: June 2025 vs January 2026
Comparing the month we started work to January 2026, the growth across every metric tells a clear story:
- Sessions: up 52.3%
- Users: up 42.8%
- Organic Search Sessions: up 57.6%
- Conversions: up 1,550%
The conversion growth is particularly significant. Going from 2 enquiries per month to 33 represents a complete transformation in how the website performs as a lead generation tool, which is the outcome the project was designed to deliver.
Search Engine Rankings
At the start of the campaign, all tracked keywords sat outside the top 20. As of February 2026, Aura holds 10 keywords in positions 1 to 3, 17 in positions 4 to 10, and 12 in positions 11 to 20. Ongoing optimisation continues to improve cost efficiency while sustaining lead volume.
Key Takeaways
The Aura Windows & Doors project demonstrates what becomes possible when website development, design, and SEO work together from the ground up. Several principles drove the success of this engagement:
- SEO without a quality website is limited. Addressing the website foundation first unlocked the full potential of search optimisation.
- Early action pays off. Beginning SEO work during development meant rankings were already moving before launch, accelerating post-launch results.
- Location-specific content delivers. Dedicated landing pages for each geographic market have driven significant regional traffic gains in a short time.
- Design and brand matter for SEO. A premium, credible website earns stronger engagement signals that contribute to ranking performance.
- Integrated campaigns compound results. Combining SEO with well-managed Google Ads ensures strong visibility across both organic and paid channels at every stage of growth.
