Project Description

De Iuliis Wines approached HyperWeb mid 2018 with a vision of taking their wine club membership online, enabling new members to not only sign up online, but to also be able to update their membership options online with ease, as and when they require. This content was then to automatically sync with De Iuliis Wines business management software Netsuite.

We set out on the project with user experience front of mind. We created a simple and elegant design framework to begin with, utilising a mix of photos and illustrations recently created for the new creative direction of the brand. From there we built out the wine club membership from a user perspective, going through the stages from sign up, to order and finally their account management system. Then the fun began; ensuring all functionality was put in place to create a seamless end-to-end process, whilst ensuring all data was integrated and syncing with Netsuite via a third-party specialist integrator.

The key driver from the De Iuliis Marketing Team was to ensure their brand promise was reflected in the look and functional offering on the site, particularly the De Wine Club. Members have complete flexibility to manage their subscriptions. They can do this online with ease. From editing member details and updating credit card info, to altering their delivery times, wine pack contents, changing the frequency of deliveries and delivery months.

Vigorous user testing took place to cater for all wine club member user case scenario’s. Month to month hundreds of wine club orders are processed, each run with a substantial amount of changes taken over the phone or via email. Our new system enables a user controlled management system. This automation will free up staff time, ultimately increasing productivity in the cellar door team.

On top of the wine club membership a regular eCommerce storefront was setup, allowing for purchase of combined single and case wines, along with content pages adapted from their previous website, jazzed up and reformatted to suit the style of the new website.

The end result is a very intuitive and future-proof website with design and functionality marrying to create a beautiful online experience for De Iuliis Wines customers.
