The Who, What, When, Why and How of Marketing

News

Before embarking on any type of marketing campaign it is important to ask yourself these 5 questions.

 

WHO is your target market?
In other words, who are your customers? You need to know who you are targeting your campaign to.

WHAT do you want to communicate to this target audience?
What are you selling, what story do you want your customers to know?

WHEN should you communicate your message?
For example, if it’s an online campaign, when are your customers online? When is the optimal time for you to engage with your audience?

WHY are you marketing this campaign to your customers?
What is your overall objective and purpose of this campaign?

HOW will you communicate your message?
What platforms are your customers utilising? Which marketing channel will successfully get your message delivered to your target audience?
